The Australian Childhood Maltreatment Study indicates 28.5% of children living in Australia experience child sexual abuse before they are 18 years of age. That translates to 1 in 3 girls and almost 1 in 5 boys. To put that into perspective in a classroom of 30 students that is 10 girls and 6 boys.

Hi! I'm Kayelene Kerr founder of eSafeKids.
I’ve dedicated my working life to protecting and serving the community. I’m passionate about the prevention of child abuse and draw on over 27 years’ experience combining a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies (Law, Psychology & Criminology) with over 20 years of law enforcement and 10 years primary prevention education experience. I was a Detective for over 18 years and have been involved in many child sexual abuse cases.
I’ve developed and deliver prevention education workshops and training all over Australia and internationally. I believe protecting children from harm is a shared responsibility and I aim to support the trusted adults in children’s lives to tackle what can sometimes be challenging, sensitive and tricky topics.
I’ve created this online content to enable you to watch it in the comfort of your own home, at a time that’s convenient for you and you’ll also be able to return to this as and when you wish.
