About the event
Have you ever wondered how technology might affect the developing bodies, brains and behaviours of children?
Have you ever struggled to get your child to turn their device off?
Are you worried your child is spending too much time online?
Are you concerned about what your child might find, or what might find them?
Do you want to reduce conflict and enhance relationships.Â
This workshop will discuss all of this and much more.
Parenting in the digital age can be complex and challenging. Whilst there are many benefits for our children being online, there are also risks. As the trusted adults in our children’s lives we can support them to maximise the benefits and minimise the risks. Guidance, education and protection have the potential to empower children to use technology safely, respectfully, responsibly, critically and positively.
You will leave this workshop with conversation starters, practical strategies and resource recommendations to support you.
This workshop will be presented by Kayelene Kerr.
This workshop is not suitable for children or young people to attend.
