About the event

The Australian Child Maltreatment Study found 28.5% of Australian children experience child sexual abuse before the age of 18, that’s 1 in 3 girls and almost 1 in 5 boys.


This evidence informed workshop supports parents and caregivers to better understand the prevalence, nature and impact of child abuse. It focuses on practical skills and strategies that help create environments where harm is less likely to occur and, if it does, is more likely to be detected early.


Presented by Kayelene Kerr from eSafeKids, thisworkshopis filled with up-to-date information, real world examples, practical strategies, conversation starters and resources to support you
